Marcia Harvey
Marcia Harvey is an African-American
author, more famous for being the ex-wife of comedian and host Steve Harvey.
She decided to keep her personal life private and out of the public eye.
Although Steve did not have anywhere as far as the fame that he has now the
couple was married for 14 years. It's unclear what led to the break-up, though
Hollywood has heard rumors about the split. Some speculate that it was due to
Steve Harvey's shady ways, while others attribute it to his choice to pursue
comedy as a career. Steve Harvey broke up with his two daughters when she was
pregnant with their third child, causing her to feel devastated. Despite all of
the hardships she was able to establish an impressive career as a fashion
designer and writer. Her books include "Marcia Eyes To The Soul',
"Marcia: Poems From The Heart', and 'Marcia: Thoughts From My Mind'.
Children are inspired by her kindness and generosity. Little is known about
Marcia Harvey's past, besides the fact that she was born in an African American
family and were not rich. Her first job was working at Saks Fifth Avenue, a
department store. She met Steve after a while at a friend's wedding party. They
got married and they were married in the year 1980. Steve was an insurance
agent at the time. The couple was blessed with twin daughters in 1982. Steve
was disillusioned at work and made the decision to pursue a job in the field of
entertainment. He hoped to be a stand-up comedian. This created a lot of
friction between him as well as Marcia and later reports suggested they were
about to break up by the year the year 1990. Much of the fame that Marcia
Harvey enjoyed was due to her marriage and divorce from Steve Harvey. The
circumstances leading to their divorce in 1994 were largely kept under wraps
but there is no doubt that Marcia was pregnant with their third child when the
marriage fell apart. Marcia was finally able to file for divorce on the 23rd of
March 1993. Marcia was forced to do so by Steve Harvey's insistence on not
paying any alimony or child support following her divorce.
