Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident from the moment she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Ten weeks after the first time she tried out, she was ranked second in 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix completed her high school graduation and signed a professional deal with the sports company Adidas prior to matriculating in the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic award at 2004 Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s and set an all-time junior world record. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to take home the 200 meters race. In 2007, she won that title, beating her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at the Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three of her competitions.
