Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix the Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix had an early aptitude for sports when she was attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting ability at the time. Following her initial audition, she placed in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix finished high school in 2003 and signed with Adidas a contract as a professional athlete. The following year she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s, setting the new world junior record. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her becoming the youngest female to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. In 2007 she defended that title, beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She was consistently in the top three of the events.
